I count as the source of my dance inspiration several Middle Eastern Artists, including the late Ibrahim Farrah, Morocco, Habiba and Nadia Hamdi, who have given me the Gift of their knowledge. From them I have learned about the cultural traditions that have shaped this Dance, and that it can be a profound expression of Passion, Love, Strength and feminine Grace and Beauty. Middle Eastern Dance continues to be a journey of Self-Discovery and an avenue of artistic expression in my life.
I am happy to share this Gift with my students and dance community. |
